This Friday is the Valentine party at Lauren's school. Ms. Carrie (her teacher) sent home a list of the names of all the children in the class so that Valentines could be sent in for each child.
Lauren is not yet to the age where she knows that store-bought Valentines are all the rage (to the kids that is!) and is perfectly content, and EXCITED to make her own Valentines.
We decided to go with a simple concept. I stamped out two different images for her at her request. Seven of one stamp - for the girls, and five of another stamp - for the boys.
Lauren got to work on coloring each image. She had a specific person in mind for each one that she colored and wanted me to write their name on the back so we wouldn't forget who it went to. What was most amazing was that without looking at the names (that I'm not sure can even read), she didn't need any help remembering which Valentine went to each person. Very subtle differences in the way she colored each one. What an amazing little artist!
